This pretty pumpkin cake is a one-bowl wonder!

We are continuing to celebrate the arrival of fall with a recipe for pumpkin cake.

This quick and easy recipe uses only one bowl – so no mess!

WHAT YOU NEED

1 can of pumpkin 

1 cup vegetable oil 

4 eggs 

1 cup brown sugar 

1/2 cup granulated sugar 

Dash of vanilla 

1/4 cup sour cream 

Mix these wet ingredients together….

2 cups flour

2 tsp baking powder 

1 tsp baking soda

Dash of cinnamon 

Dash of salt  

Now add these dry ingredients to wet mixture and combine thoroughly.

Pour into a 9x13 greased baking dish or cup two 8-inch rounds. 

Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes or until done.

ICING

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup salted butter, softened 

1 large bag powdered sugar

¼ cup whole milk

Dash of vanilla

Beat cream cheese and butter, then add powdered sugar.

Add milk until desired consistency and a dash of vanilla. 

Let cake cool before frosting and sprinkle with cinnamon.
