Third case of coronavirus confirmed in Erath County

Erath County has received its third positive case of COVID-19, city and county officials confirmed Sunday night.

According to a joint statement, the patient resides in rural Erath County and been quarantined at home since being tested.

It is not clear if the illness was contracted through travel or is community-related.

A Stephenville man was the first person in Erath County to test positive for coronavirus earlier this week and a second woman with the virus was confirmed Saturday.
