The time for back-to-school shopping is upon us and so is Texas’ annual sales tax holiday.

Shop local and save money on tax-free purchases of most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks (priced less than $100).

This year’s sales tax holiday will be held Friday, Aug. 5, through midnight on Sunday, Aug. 7.

Qualifying items can be purchased from any Texas retailer or online seller doing business in Texas.
