Updated: Nov 2, 2021

Plans for Stephenville’s second annual lighted Christmas parade is shaping up to be a festive day of fun, so mark those calendars for Saturday, Nov. 27.

Events will kick off with Breakfast with Santa at 8 a.m. at Greer’s Ranch Café.

Julie Lowrance, one of the event organizers, said more than 40 entries are already signed up to take part in the parade. The deadline to sign up is Nov. 20.

The ChristmasVille Light up Stephenville Parade will kick off at 6:30 p.m. and be followed by a tree lighting ceremony and fireworks show.

City councilman Ricky Thurman will serve as the official emcee, announcing the lighted parade entries as they “float” by.

Nov. 27 is also Small Business Saturday so downtown businesses will be sponsoring day-long activities like face painting, ornament decorating and photo opportunities.

Santa Claus has also made plans to ride in the parade, then the jolly old fella will take part in the tree lighting ceremony at the downtown plaza where snacks, hot chocolate and lighted toys will be for sale.

To enter the parade or become a sponsor, email Julie Lowrance at framesetc@gmail.com or call 254-592-7404 or call Julie Crouch Smith at 254-552-1222.
