Just hours after a picture of a man suspected of burglarizing Stephenville Rec Hall was released to the public, a tip on Erath County Crime Stoppers led to his arrest.

He has been taken into custody and is being booked into the Erath County Jail.

THE BACK STORY

The Stephenville Police Department is asking the public to help find a 29-year-old Stephenville man suspected of burglarizing the city’s Recreation Hall.

Dallas Roy Burleson is accused of gaining access into the building sometime between June 14-15 and stealing food, drinks and a credit card, Captain James Gresham told Beneath the Surface News.

“He was identified from security footage and was nice enough to look right at the camera,” Gresham said.

Burleson appears to have committed the burglary alone and has attempted to use the stolen credit card to purchase food online at several local businesses.
