Stephenville welcomes SpringHill Suites by Marriott with exciting groundbreaking ceremony.

Stephenville marked another milestone in its continued growth Wednesday with the groundbreaking of a new SpringHill Suites by Marriott, bringing additional lodging capacity and hospitality investment to the community.
The hotel will be located on at 400 South Harbin Drive and is a project by TEKMAK Development Company, a preferred Marriott developer. Resolute Road Hospitality will serve as the hotel’s hospitality management company.
The groundbreaking event brought together community leaders, project representatives and local stakeholders to celebrate the project.
TEKMAK President Glen Decker, Stephenville Mayor Lonn Reisman and Tarleton State University President Dr. James Hurley shared remarks about the project and its significance to the community.
The project reflects the collaborative efforts of the Stephenville Economic Development Corporation, Stephenville City Council, city staff and SEDA, which worked alongside the development team and local partners to help bring the project to Stephenville.
“We are excited to welcome TEKMAK, a preferred Marriott developer, to our community,” Jeff Sanford, president and CEO of SEDA told Beneath the Surface News.
“SpringHill Suites is a recognized name with a strong record of satisfaction and having another high-end entry into our hospitality market will help serve our growing tourism sector and showcase the very best of what makes Stephenville such a great place.
“SEDA is pleased to have a development of this level in our community.”
The new SpringHill Suites will add approximately 126 keys to Stephenville’s hospital inventory, providing additional accommodations for visitors coming to the community for business, tourism, Tarleton State University events, rodeos, athletic competitions and other activities throughout the year.
The project represents continued private investment in Stephenville and reflects the community’s growing demand for quality lodging and hospitality services.
The addition of a nationally recognized hotel brand will further enhance Stephenville’s ability to accommodate visitors and support the continued growth of the local economy.
With the groundbreaking complete, construction of the new SpringHill Suites by Marriott is set to get underway.
