Six out of 70 patients from Monday’s mobile testing site are positive for COVID-19, officials say.
A free mobile testing site in Stephenville on Monday tested 70 residents for COVID-19 and six of those were positive, according to Erath County emergency management coordinator Susan Driskill.
Driskill issued a new report Thursday showing the latest numbers which includes the six tested on Monday.
The report states that there were an additional 13 new patients on Wednesday; five in Stephenville, one in Dublin and seven in the county, bringing the total to 776 with 83 still considered active.
Earlier this week, Stephenville’s health authority Dr. Kelly Doggett encouraged residents to continue taking preventative measures like social distancing, wearing masks and hand washing to avoid a second wave of the virus this fall.
