SISD names its next superintendent; plans to offer official contract next month.
The wait is over.
The Stephenville ISD board of trustees has named Dr. Eric Cederstrom as the finalist for the superintendent position.
The board must now wait 21 days before voting to hire Cederstrom as its next superintendent.
In a press release about the new hire, SISD officials said the board followed a lengthy process in determining the finalist.
The board interviewed seven candidates then narrowed down the search to two.
The board is expected to vote on a contract for Cederstrom on Dec. 13.
Cederstrom has served as deputy superintendent at Pine Tree ISD since 2018. Prior to that, he was superintendent of Palo Pinto ISD from 2008-2018.
Cederstrom is slated to replace Dr. Matt Underwood who left the district earlier this year to take a position at Ranger College.
