Shy heeler with separation anxiety, cat that loves attention are this week’s featured pets.

Beeman

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Beeman, a one to two-year-old male Heeler/Shepherd mix.

“He is a very sweet boy that tends to be on the shy side,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “He does have separation anxiety and doesn't do well when left alone inside or in a crate, but is ok in a yard.

“Do not let his anxiety keep you from adopting this amazing boy!”

Beemer is lovable and will lean against you to keep you from leaving. He is good with other dogs and strangers and enjoys riding in a car and walking on a leash.

“He would love for someone to take him on long walks and spend time with him,” Serena said.

Beeman is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and heart worm negative.

He has been at the shelter since February.

Tortimer

Tortimer is a five-year-old male Domestic Shorthair.

"This handsome man is super sweet and loves attention,” Serena said.

Tortimer is microchipped and litter box trained.
