Safe Trick ‘R Treat is on! Businesses, organizations invited to sign up for treat stations.

The downtown square and plaza will soon be buzzing with costumed children taking part in the Stephenville Chamber of Commerce’s annual Safe Trick ‘R Treat.

TREAT STATIONS

Chamber member businesses and organizations will be set up along the sidewalks around the downtown square from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29.

There will also be a FUN ZONE in the plaza parking lot featuring games and activities for children.

“Our first priority is to keep all the children safe,” a release from the Chamber states. “In order to do that most effectively, the entire area around the downtown square will be blocked off to all vehicle traffic.

The Stephenville Police Department will have officers stationed around the downtown area to let vehicles out of the blocked area as needed.

HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Hand sanitizer stations will be set up around the downtown area.

The Chamber will assign spots for each participating business with more distance between tables and an extra hour has been added to the event.

To reduce contact, treat-givers are asked to drop the treat in each child’s bag instead of allowing the children to put their hand in the candy bucket.

The Chamber will have masks and gloves available.

Businesses and organization must register to participate by Oct. 20.

For more information, call the Chamber at 254-965-5313.
