For fans of The Amazing Race, it’s time to get excited.
Meals on Wheels of Erath County is hosting its own version of the popular reality TV show and you’re invited to get a team together and compete.
“We wanted to do something fun and different,” MOW executive director Elizabeth Johnson told Beneath the Surface News.
The race will start at 4 p.m. on Nov. 14 at Hearsay Wine Bar where there will also be a party to watch as the teams compete in 12 scavenger hunt-style challenges.
“We are going to get together and livestream the events as the teams compete,” Elizabeth said. “We will have door prizes for those who come to the watch party and they will have a chance to donate to their favorite team.”
The number of two to three-person teams is limited to 15 and the cost to enter (per team) is $100.

Proceeds, of course, benefit Meals on Wheels, which supplies 200 hot meals to local senior citizens every day.
