May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month and this is the second in a series of stories highlighting products that can protect you from harmful UV rays and the possibility of getting skin cancer.
I was recently treated for squamous cell carcinoma and after sharing my story, readers sent me a list of products I am using in hopes of reducing my chance of re-occurrence.
Did you know that you can develop skin cancer on your lips, most commonly basal and squamous cell carcinoma?
We are taking a trip with friends to the British Virgin Islands this summer and my best friend Christi James gifted me with a tube of MDSolarSciences tinted lip balm (SPF 30).
This moisturizing lip sunscreen is super hydrating and pretty enough to wear every day.
In fact, I love it so much that I bought two more tubes so I’d always have one handy.
If you like a nude color like I do, order “bare;” it’s sheer and super pretty.
There are other colors to choose from as well.
I ordered mine from Amazon for $25.
Stay tuned for more reviews on products that will protect you from the sun’s harmful rays.
I’ll only write about the ones I like.

For a long time I used regular mass-market cosmetics, but I noticed that my skin had become less elastic and dry. Then I decided it was time to try professional cosmetics, although at first I doubted it — I thought the difference would be insignificant. I bought a couple of products through a cosmetologist I knew at CPS customer service and immediately felt the result: my skin began to look fresher and healthier. When choosing, I paid attention to reviews and recommendations on specialized sites — they helped me understand what was really worth buying and what was not.
Wow, this lip balm sounds amazing! I definitely need to grab one for summer, especially with all that sun. Thanks for the recommendation! Gotta protect those lips!merge fellas
