Paige Ferguson grew up in Dublin and today she is investing in her hometown with a new business offering residents a unique shopping experience.

Back Home General Store is a plastic-free, eco-friendly refillery that sells liquid laundry detergent, multi-purpose cleaners, Swedish dishcloths, dishwashing pods, homemade toilet cleaning and garbage disposal bombs, body butter and sugar and coffee scrubs.

It also sells homemade treats for dogs and cats with 35% of proceeds benefiting the Erath County Humane Society.

“I’m really big on protecting the earth,” Paige told Beneath the Surface News. “I believe I was put on this planet for a reason and that I should take care of what I was given.”

Shoppers can bring in their own containers and fill them with as much product as they want. The merchandise is then weighed and customers are charged accordingly.

Back Home General Store is located at 119 East Blackjack Street in downtown Dublin and is open from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday.

The official grand opening will be held Sept. 24.
