Our Perfect Storm by Carley Fortune was cute, but predictable.
I’ve come to the conclusion that most romances fail to keep my attention, and while I enjoyed June’s Beneath the Book Club pick, Our Perfect Storm by Carley Fortune, it didn’t leave me wishing for more.
It was a cute, but predictable story: Girl ditched the night before her wedding, takes the honeymoon with her best guy friend from her childhood, and well, you guessed it - the two fall in love and live happily ever after.
It was a nice read. The writing was great. The setting was beautiful and the storyline was sweet.
I just need a little more excitement in my books.
But if you like a good romance, you’ll probably love this.
I give it a 3.5.

Cute but predictable is exactly how I felt about this one, although the setting did most of the heavy lifting for me. When my attention starts drifting between books, a couple of quick rounds of Arrow Puzzle usually reset my focus before I start the next chapter.
