Newton’s Saddlerack is having a big week with guest mixologist and first Saturday brunch.
The holidays are over, but there’s no shortage of fun happening this week at Newton’s Saddlerack.
The downtown Stephenville restaurant and lounge is hosting guest bartender Curtis Ludwig – a self-proclaimed “amateur mixologist, professional drinker” – from 5-9 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
Ludwig, owner of Cocktail Obsessions, will whip up James Bond-inspired drinks on Thursday. Think The Vesper, Bourbon Old Fashion, Pat O’Brien’s Hurricane, Aperol Spritz and Rob Roy.
Friday’s cocktails will be inspired by the Godfather and include Negroni, Manhattan, Vodka Gimlet, New York Sour and Cuba Libre.
And here’s something else, bring a donation for the Erath County Humane Society either night and receive a free order of chips and queso.
The fun will continue from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday with Newton’s monthly brunch.
“We have a really great menu this month,” Melanie Newton told Beneath the Surface News. “Chef will be serving chicken fried New York strip with eggs and pancake sandwiches with sausage and egg.”
And of course, there will be mimosas and Bloody Marys.
Bring in a donation for the animal shelter on Saturday and receive a free mimosa.
