Motorcycle accident claims life of young Stephenville man.
A 25-year-old Stephenville man passed away from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident on Sunday night.
Cade Schmutz was reportedly riding his motorcycle alongside his father Randy Schmutz when the accident happened on East Washington Street and Hwy. 377 in Stephenville.
According to Randy Schmutz’s Facebook page, Cade pulled ahead of his father and was struck by a motorist that pulled out into his lane.
“I’m so thankful to our Lord that I was able to spend the last couple hours of his life with Cade having fun and enjoying his passion….motorcycles!” the post states. “He packed a lotta life into his 25 years on this earth! He was always smiling! And a tremendous musical prodigy! He spent time in Japan and Italy with his music and made so many friends!”
Following the accident, Cade was transported by air to a Fort Worth hospital where he died from his injuries.
His mother Amber Schmutz asked for prayers for her son on Facebook, then later announced that he had passed.
Cade Schmutz grew up in Stephenville.
