McLemore Financial Group celebrating 15 years with anniversary party/Chamber mix.
Doug McLemore, founder and president of McLemore Financial Group, is preparing to celebrate a milestone — 15 years in business in Stephenville.
The firm’s 15th anniversary celebration will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at the McLemore Financial Group office, 1529 W. Lingleville Road in Stephenville.
The community is invited to attend, with heavy hors d’oeuvres catered by Hard Eight BBQ.
McLemore’s career in financial services began in 2002 when he joined Edward Jones in the Metroplex. A couple of years later, he had the opportunity to return home to Stephenville.
“I started McLemore Financial Group in 2011 because I wanted to have control over the culture and direction of my company and build something that was good for both my clients and my family,” McLemore said.
Since then, the firm has grown steadily, but McLemore says the relationships built along the way remain the most meaningful measure of its success.
“We have grown consistently over the years, and I am truly proud of what we have built,” he said.
“I have clients I’ve been working with for more than 20 years, and it means a lot to me that they have trusted me for so long.”
A Stephenville native, Doug graduated from Stephenville High School in 1985 and Tarleton State University in 1990 with a degree in history.
He and his wife, Emily, have been married for 28 years and have three daughters, a son-in-law and a granddaughter.
While the anniversary provides an opportunity to reflect on the past 15 years, McLemore and business partner Spencer Sligh, who joined the practice in 2015, are focused on the firm’s future.
“We aren’t slowing down,” McLemore said.
“In fact, our foot is on the pedal. We are continuing to grow and are looking for a third advisor to join our team.”
McLemore said one of the firm’s defining characteristics has been its emphasis on personal service and long-term relationships.
“One of our defining marks is the level of service we provide and the relationships we build with our clients,” he said.
“We have been fortunate to build a solid business serving multiple generations of families, and those relationships are at the heart of everything we do.”
For McLemore, reaching 15 years is both a chance to celebrate what has been accomplished and an opportunity to look toward what comes next.
“I believe our best days are ahead of us,” he said.
“We’re proud of what we’ve built, grateful for the people who have trusted us along the way and excited about what is still to come.”
