Lucky Vines Vineyard & Winery wins again; this time snagging silver in USA Wine Ratings Competition

Lucky Vines Vineyard & Winery has been recognized for its outstanding wine in another high-profile competition.

This time, the Erath County winery received silver medals for its Gewürztraminer, Cordelia and Cabernet Sauvignon from a panel of high-profile wine industry judges at the USA Wine Ratings Competition.

Each wine scored highly in three categories - quality, value and packaging.

“We really put a lot of emphasis on creating a wine with broad consumer appeal, and one that wine drinkers will enjoy for a variety of different occasions,” said Kimberly Hutchins, who owns the winery along with her husband Jeff. “This award is really a validation of our winemaking expertise.”

The winery, located between Stephenville and Dublin, also won bronze for its

Mourvèdre, Beginner’s Luck Syrah 2017 and Bene Velle Blend.

The judging panel included wine industry professionals with commercial buying expertise, master sommeliers and master’s of wine.

Lucky Vines also won two bronze and two silver medals at the Houston Stock Show and five medals in the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, including Top of Class for its 2018 Montepulciano.
