Longtime Stephenville fireman named November’s Hometown Hero.

Chris Elston, a firefighter and division chief of operations with the Stephenville Fire Department, has a new title to be proud of: Hometown Hero.
Chris was nominated for the November award and chosen by a panel of judges.
He has worked for SFD for nine years and has enjoyed a career in fire and EMS for 20.
Chris grew up in Morgan Mill and graduated from Stephenville High School in 2004.
When he’s not busy saving lives and property, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, raising show pigs, traveling to stock shows with his daughters and farming.
The monthly Hometown Hero award is a program sponsored by Farmers Insurance agent Leslie Walker.
