Local volunteers sought to help with Tarleton State University’s move-in day.

A committee making sure that Tarleton State University students have the support they need on move-in day is asking volunteers to help.

Isabel Talamantes is a member of a committee that oversees the move-in effort and said it’s asking local churches, businesses and organizations to assist Aug. 15-17 on the Stephenville campus.

“With move-In just 10 days away, we are especially in need of volunteers for Sunday, August 17, although support on any of the three days and across various time shifts would be greatly appreciated,” Talamantes said.

Volunteer check-in will be held at Tarleton’s Engineering Building next to Dairy Queen. 

All volunteers will receive snacks, drinks and a T-shirt.

Volunteer shifts still available include:

Friday, Aug. 15 - 7:30-10:30 a.m.

Friday, Aug. 15 - 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 15 - 2:30-5:30 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 16 - 7:30-10:30 a.m.

Saturday, Aug. 16 - 2:30-5:30 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 16- 3-6 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 17 - 7:30-10:30 a.m.

Sunday, Aug. 17 - 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 17 - 12:30-3:30 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 17- 2:30-5:30 p.m.
