Local firefighters receive ‘go bags’ to give to residents in need. You’re going to love this.

The Erath County United Way partnered with several local businesses to put together “go bags” that contain cleaning and laundry supplies, personal hygiene products and information on getting help with food insecurity, mental health and socialization. The bags will be given to residents in need.

ECUW executive director Lisa Scroggins, intern Riah Granpre and board member Staci King presented Stephenville Fire Chief Jimmy Chew and his team at Fire Station 2 with 50 bags on Wednesday morning.

The Erath County Sheriff’s Office and Stephenville Police Department will receive “go bags” next week.

Local businesses that assisted with the bags include Texas Health Resources, Erath County Community Bridges, Stephenville Printing and Coyote Design.
