Labor Day weekend arrives with 2 fun events happening in Stephenville.

The long Labor Day weekend has arrived, and for the vast majority of you (based on results from our online poll), it marks the official end of summer and start of fall.

So, we’re just going to focus on the fact that cooler temps and cozy night are on the way.

Meanwhile, there’s plenty of fun happening this weekend to soak up those last days of summer.

First up, the popular Farmers & Artisan Market is back from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the downtown plaza in Stephenville.

The plaza will be filled with vendors selling everything from fresh produce to handmade crafts.

There will also be live music by the North Texas Brass Quintet.

Then, the annual Western Swing Festival kicks off at Stephenville City Park.

The free event will include live music from top western swing acts and dancing. 

Saturday’s music will begin at 6 p.m. with Hot Club of Cowtown followed by Billy Mata and Jody Nix.

Sunday’s lineup also begins at 6 p.m. with Katie Shore followed by Jake Hooker and Bob Wills’ Texas Playboys.
