Kindergarten teacher at Three Way ISD named February’s Hometown Hero.

Malala Yousafzai once said, “One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.”

And it was in that spirit that Farmers Insurance agent Leslie Walker and her team chose an educator as February’s Hometown Hero.

Sandy House, a kindergarten teacher at Three Way ISD, has been an educator for 21 years.

When she is not inside the classroom, Ms. House enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, making things for her classroom, Bible journaling and getting pedicures. And she loves coffee and chocolate.

“I just really love all the little things in life,” she said. “I have been blessed with so much and want to give God the glory.

“I really feel more like a crazy lady herding kindergarten cats most days, not a Hometown Hero.”

Along with the award, Ms. House received a gift basket with items from various businesses.
