Kick off the weekend with these 3 spring-like events happening in Stephenville.

If you are looking for a day of fun, Saturday has got you covered.

Three great events the whole family will love are happening in Stephenville this weekend.

And the best part: They are all free to get in.

First up: The annual Native and Heirloom Plant Fair is happening from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday on the grounds of the Stephenville Historical House Museum.

The Erath County Master Gardeners will host the event and offer expert advice on plant selection, butterfly gardens and rainwater harvesting.

There will also be a variety of Texas native plants, annuals, perennials, cactus, succulents and garden accessories for sale.

Next, load up the kids and head to Stephenville City Park where the TSU Student Chapter of the Wildlife Society will host Tarleton Outdoors from 9 a.m.-noon.

The event will include activities for the entire family, food and lots of fun!

And finally, Tarleton State University is hosting a free screening of the Texas nature documentary "Deep in the Heart" beginning at 4 p.m. in the Fine Arts auditorium.

The 2022 documentary features narration from Matthew McConaughey.

After the screening, there will be a response panel featuring Jahmicah Dawes of Slim Pickens Outfitters, Donald Beard from Caprock Canyon State Park and Dr. Patricia DeMarco.

With a forecast high of nearly 80 degrees on Saturday, there is absolutely no reason you shouldn’t get out of the house and into some sunshine.

Rain and cooler temperatures are back in the forecast for Sunday.
