Time is ticking for those who want an end-of-year deduction on property taxes.
For those who want to claim property taxes on their 2021 income taxes, they must be paid or postmarked by Friday, Dec. 31.
The Erath County tax offices in Stephenville and Dublin will be open on Friday (while the rest of the county offices are closed).
The tax offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 3, to give employees their holiday break.
Property taxes are due by Jan. 31, 2022.
After that you will have to pay a 7% penalty, so don't be late.
