Jake & Dorothy’s delivering its famous chicken fried steak and waffle fries to 55 employees at SMSC.

The iconic Jake & Dorothy’s Café is doing something special for the frontline workers at Stephenville Medical and Surgical Clinic.

“We are taking lunch to all 50 employees on Wednesday,” said owner Kerry Roach. “We will be serving chicken fried steak, waffle fries and toast.”

(Exactly what the restaurant is famous for!)

The lunch will be delivered to SMSC at 11:30 a.m. today.

“The Texas Restaurant Association and Blue Cross Blue Shield have a relief fund that is set up to help with this, but it’s something I would do anyway,” Roach said, adding she plans to deliver meals to the Stephenville police and fire departments next week.

While Jake & Dorothy’s still hasn’t opened its dining room, the restaurant is offering drive-thru and curbside service.

They even have picnic tables set up across the street for anyone wanting to dine al fresco.
