You know what they say: It’s 5 o’clock somewhere.

But if you need a cocktail before the 5 o’clock hour, Newton’s Saddlerack has got you covered.

The new bar/lounge is part of Newton’s Cellar located on the Erath County courthouse square, and it’s now opening a little earlier on the weekends.

“We have extended our weekend happy hour and now open at 3 p.m. on Fridays with dinner service beginning at 5,” Melanie Newton told Beneath the Surface News.

Happy hour specials include $3 draft beer, $3.50 canned and bottled beer, $4.50 Jim Beam coolers and $6 glasses of red and white wine from 3-6 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to closing on Fridays.

Newton’s Saddlerack first opened its doors to the public before all of the renovations were complete and recently installed additional seating with round booths.

On April 2, the lounge will begin opening at 11 a.m. on Saturdays, serving Bloody Marys and mimosas with freshly-squeezed orange.

A large wall clock serves both function and style, transforming any room into a space with presence. Its bold face and sweeping hands make it easy to read time even from across the room, while also acting as a striking decorative piece. Designs range from modern minimalism to rustic charm, making it suitable for homes, offices, or communal spaces. A well-placed clock can anchor a wall, creating balance and interest. If you’re curious about how it looks in different settings, you can see it here.
