I got the scoop on when two highly-anticipated restaurants are opening in Stephenville.
My friend Hilary sent me a text today asking if I knew when Poseidon is set to open.
She likes sushi too.
I didn’t, but I told her that I would find out.
So I called Jeff Sandford, president of the Stephenville Economic Development Authority, because he knows just about everything, and a few minutes later, I had Hilary’s answer: Poseidon will open soon.
“Poseidon is TRYING to open by Christmas,” Jeff wrote. “But there’s no set date yet.”
In case you missed it, Poseidon is located in Washington Commons next to Firehouse Subs.
The website describes the restaurant as “a luxurious ambiance to enjoy stylish Japanese dishes.”
Its mouthwatering menu includes things like crab rangoon, egg rolls, pork belly skewers and a variety of sushi and sashimi. There will also be a full bar that serves wine, beer and craft cocktails.
(Think cosmopolitans, blueberry sangria, cucumber and jalapeno mojitos and margarita flights.)
And if you’ve been dreaming more about spicy chicken sandwiches than sugarplums, here’s some more good news: Chick-fil-A is opening Jan. 5.
