Hey parents! It’s time to pick up athletic equipment at HJH. Here’s what you need to know.
Summer vacation is almost over for local students and it’s time to get down to business.
Topping the to-do list for students at Henderson Junior High is equipment handout for athletes on Tuesday, Aug. 8.
Parents of 7th graders can attend an athletic meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Equipment handout will follow from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
(Doors will open at 5 and you should expect parking to be full.)
Parents of 8th graders will meet at 7 followed by equipment handout from 7:30-8:30.
Boys will meet in the small gym, girls in the large gym after the parent meeting.
Seventh graders and new students will need to bring the cream-colored medical history/physical form with both sides complete, shot records and any health packets due to the nurse for allergies and medications.
A physical is not required for students entering 8th grade unless they sustained a major injury the previous year.
All student-athletes will receive one shirt and one pair of shorts. Additional shirts and shorts may be purchased online.
The Athletic Booster Club will be available for memberships and passes and the Henderson JH PTO will be selling bags and decals.
Sports World will be selling knee pads for volleyball athletes.
If you are unable to pick up equipment on Aug. 8, additional dates will be emailed to you on when you can pick them up.
You may also have someone pick it up for you if you are unable to attend.
All athletes must be registered and have paperwork turned in before Aug. 16, to be able to participate.
Don’t wait to get your physical after school starts.
The first volleyball practice will be on Wednesday, Aug. 16.
The first 8th grade football practice will be Wednesday, Aug. 16, and 7th grade will practice on Thursday, Aug. 17.
