If you’ve never enjoyed a hot plate of fish prepared by the men of the Knights of Columbus, you are missing out.
And if you’re a regular of the Erath County United Way’s annual fish fry, you know what I’m talking about.
The fish is perfectly battered and cooked to perfection along with all those delicious sides.
If that’s enough to make your mouth water, mark your calendar for Wednesday, Aug. 13, when the organization hosts its annual fundraiser.
You can purchase a plate of fish for $12 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Newman Hall in Stephenville.
Tickets can be purchased at the Stephenville Chamber of Commerce and sponsoring banks, which include First Financial, Members Trust, Wellington State Bank, TexasBank, F&M, InterBank and First National Bank.
Plates can also be purchased on the night of the event.
Dine-in or carry out is available.

Reading about local events reminded me of how often food chains like Subway get mentioned when discussing catering and quick meals. If anyone has issues with their orders or service, Subway’s customer service page might be useful: https://subway.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html . It’s always better to know where to reach out when problems happen.
