A press release issued by the department asks residents not to travel to Eastland to offer help or take donations.

A white cargo trailer is collecting water, gatorade, socks, white T-shirts, snacks and baby wipes.

Gift cards are also being accepted.

If you choose to donate, please contact the Sheriff’s office at 254-965-3338 or 254-965-3318 and someone will meet you to help you unload items.
