Healthy pizza night: You can indulge with this delicious recipe for chicken crust.

Everyone loves a good pizza, but the carbs, fat and high calorie content can sometimes put a pause on our indulgence.


But this recipe for a pizza crust made with chicken will replace that guilt with something delicious.

This recipe makes two servings.


WHAT YOU NEED


½ lb. ground chicken


1 egg

2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese


½ tsp Italian seasoning


Cooking spray


½ cup no sugar added tomato sauce (such as Rao’s)


½ reduced-fat shredded mozzarella cheese

2 Roma tomatoes sliced


¼ cup chopped fresh basil


HOW TO MAKE IT


Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Combine first four ingredients in medium bowl, then form the mixture into a thin circular crust on parchment-lined lightly greased baking sheet.


Bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes.


Top with sauce, cheese and tomato slices and bake until cheese is melted, about 7-10 minutes


Top with fresh basil before serving.
