Grand jury indicts Stephenville man on three counts of possession of child pornography.
An Erath County grand jury on Wednesday indicted 10 people including a Stephenville man charged with possession or promotion of child pornography.
Thirty-year-old Christopher Shane Weaver was charged with three counts of the second degree felony offense.
District Attorney Alan Nash said he could not comment on the pending case, but the grand jury indictment and arrest affidavit states that Weaver was arrested by Stephenville police after the department was contacted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in August 2022.
The report from NCMEC states that a number of videos and images showing prepubescent boys and girls engaging in sexual acts with adults or other children were uploaded to Weaver’s IP address.
One of those videos reportedly involve a young male being raped by an adult male, according to the arrest affidavit.
