Filing for city council is officially over. Here's how it all shook out.

Stephenville residents have some decisions to make.

When May 1 arrives, voters will be asked to weigh in on a $21 million bond proposal aimed at beautifying and improving downtown Stephenville.

The measure includes five propositions, one involving a new $8 million facility that would house a recreation hall, library and senior center.

But when it comes to the race for Stephenville City Council, that’s easy.

Councilmen Ricky Thurman (place 5) and Gerald Cook (place 7) will retain their seats for another term.

And two new members will join the group – LeAnn Durfey (place 1) and Daron Trussell (place 3) – after filing unopposed.

The last day to register to vote is April 1 and early voting will take place from April 19-27.
