An Erath County grand jury indicted 16 people Thursday on a variety of charges ranging from family assault and abusing an elderly person to theft and drug possession.
The following list of indictments was released by the office of District Attorney Alan Nash.
 • Johnny Charles Allen for assault (family violence) with previous conviction, a third degree felony.

• Kendon Dawayne Baker for assault of a peace officer and manufacture or delivery of a substance in penalty group 1, a second and first degree felony.

• Nathan Charles Baker for two counts of burglary of a building (enhanced), state jail felonies.
Â
• Devon Alexander Banker for two counts of injury to an elderly, third degree felonies.

• Dustan Ray Butz for evading arrest or detention with previous conviction, a state jail felony.

• Dustin Allen Cunningham for assault (family violence) with previous conviction and three counts of violation of a protective order or bond with previous convictions, all third degree felonies.

• Justin Lee Hankins for theft over $2,500 with previous conviction (enhanced), a state jail felony.

• Cody Lee Johnston for assault family violence (with previous conviction), a third degree felony.

• Jeremy David Kaempf for possession of a substance in penalty group 1, a state jail felony.

• Jason Nicholas McDaniel for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a substance in penalty group 1, a third and second degree felony.

• Bradley Scott Odom for tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and deadly conduct (discharge firearm), both third degree felonies.

• Eric Christian Olalde for evading arrest or detention with a vehicle and deadly conduct (discharge firearm), a state jail and third degree felony.

• John Brian Perry for obstruction or retaliation, a third degree felony.
