Fall favorites: Get inspired this season by shopping at these local stores and boutiques.

These Halloween inspired necklaces at Cheerful Heart are adorable!

There’s just something about fall that makes it the favorite season for so many of us.

Perhaps it’s the idea of hot chocolate, football, cozy nights and cool temperatures that rejuvenates us after a long hot summer.

For me, the change of season means we are one step closer to the holidays, so I started decorating for fall last week, which took me on a journey through some of Stephenville’s hottest boutiques.

From cozy fall sweaters and football tees to delicious candles, pumpkin décor and seasonal jewelry, downtown Stephenville has some of the best shopping you’ll find in this corner of Texas.

Here’s a few favorites I found during my shopping jaunt.

You can find these festive Halloween plates at Frames Etc.

This downtown boutique that boasts a framing shop and huge selection of used books also serves as the city’s official go-to shop for all things Halloween! Think unique candy, T-shirts, earrings and adorable dishes that will get you and your home ready for the season of spook!

Frames Etc also has a great selection of Stephenville and Tarleton football shirts that will have you looking your best at all those football games!

You'll find plenty of fall inspiration with designs like this at Scott's Flowers.

This iconic shop located on the historic Erath County courthouse square has a number of fall-inspired silk flower arrangements to help usher the season into your home.

The fantastic people at Scott’s are passionate about fresh flowers and have lots of fall colors and interesting additions that make gorgeously unique arrangements. And it’s not too early to place orders for fall and Christmas centerpieces!

Scott’s is also set to announce its signature fragrance in October. Think candles, perfume and diffusers.

Stay tuned.

The Home Place at Ace is your one-stop shop for fall coziness.

When it comes to making your home smell warm and cozy, The Home Place at Ace has you covered.

This retailer carries an amazing selection of cookware and small appliances that will jazz up your kitchen and help you make the perfect pumpkin pie.

It also carries delicious-smelling candles and melts like Bourbon Maple Sugar, By the Fireside and Cinnamon Hazelnut Latte, festive home décor and an array of silk flowers.

If you're looking for a styling bag this fall, Venture 19 has a wide selection of Consuela.

It’s all about Consuela bags at Venture 19.

A big selection of stylish makeup and handbags to large travel bags will have you looking your best this fall.

And when it comes to fashion, this downtown boutique has a great selection of purple clothing for that bougie Tarleton student, gorgeous home décor, fall candles (my favorite is Voluspa Forbidden Fig) and big orange Yeti travel mugs.

You'll fall madly in love with the line of MacKenzie Childs at Cheerful Heart.

This fantastic boutique has expanded its women’s clothing line to include festive sweaters, dresses and cute tops.

And when it comes to jewelry, it’s all about Kendra Scott. The fall line includes some seriously adorable necklaces with orange pumpkins and black cats!

And if you like whimsical, you’ll fall in love with the MacKenzie Childs home décor and kitchen accessories.

(That black tea kettle needs to be mine!)

So, there you go! Happy shopping!

And remember, keep it local!
