The start of the holiday shopping season gets officially underway this weekend and local businesses are offering their best deals of the year with mega-savings on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday.
I spoke with lots of local business owners this week who gave me the scoop on all those sales (and they are pretty spectacular!)

Things will be bustling at Cheerful Heart this Friday and Saturday when the Stephenville retailer offers 25% off clothing and furniture, buy one, get one 50% off on Christmas décor and Vera Bradley blankets and buy one, get one free on Vera Bradley bags and accessories.
The Home Place at Ace is feeling equally generous with 25% off Le Creuset soup pots, kitchen gadgets, and Christmas décor (trees and garland not included) and 50% off Wilton baking items on Friday and Saturday.
Shoppers will also receive a free gift with purchase while supplies last.
Dowell Ace Hardware also has 25% markdowns on Holiballs, those wildly popular inflatable ornaments made famous on Shark Tank, and if you stop by from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, you can enjoy refreshments while you shop.
Oh, and if you’re ready to start shopping now, head to Woods Furniture where you will find savings on just about everything inside the store (and free delivery)!
But hurry, because the sale ends on Friday.
For those who want to keep that summer glow this winter, Tahiti Tan is offering 50% off all services and merchandise on Saturday only (customers must come into the store to receive savings).
