Evening Lions Club donates $18k to local fire departments as it gears up for Upland Bird.

The Stephenville Evening Lions Club has donated $18,000 to the Erath County Firefighters Association, which will be divided among local fire departments to help replenish supplies and repair equipment from battling recent wildfires.


The club raises a significant amount of money during its annual Upland Bird Extravaganza, which will be held on April 29 at City Hall at City limits.

The community is also invited to take part in the shooting events on April 23 at Rough Creek Lodge.


Raffle tickets for a chance to win a Kubota RTV, AR-15, Beretta Shotgun and 100-quart Blue Cooler can be purchased for $100 each from any Evening Lions Club member.
