Erath County teenager sentenced to 80 years for possession of child pornography.
An Erath County teenager has been sentenced to 80 years in prison after pleading guilty earlier this year to nine counts of possession/promotion of child pornography.
Bradley Cadenhead, 17, appeared in court along with his attorney Lucas Lawrence before the sentence was handed down on Tuesday.
“It is always sad to see a person sentenced to a lengthy prison sentence and it’s particularly grim when it must be done with someone so young,” District Attorney Alan Nash said following the sentencing.
“But the activities and interests of this young man are so disturbing, everyone in his path is in danger. It is now the duty of the state prison and parole authorities to ensure Judge Cashon’s mandate to protect our communities is carried out.”
Cadenhead was arrested in August 2021 when he was just 16 years old and was later certified to stand trial as an adult.
