Erath County’s risk level raised to ‘severe’ as Covid-19 shows no signs of slowing down.
Covid ActNow, a website that tracks the spread of Covid-19 across the country, has raised Erath County’s risk level to “severe.”
The website states that Erath County sees an average of 42 new cases per day and has a 37.5% positive test rate.
It also states that there are five hospitalizations with one patient in ICU.
When it comes to the number of people vaccinated, the website states: “In Erath County, Texas, 17,361 people (40.7%) have received at least one dose and 15,230 (37.5%) are fully vaccinated.”
Last week, Erath County Judge Alfonso Campos issued an order for residents to receive free rapid Covid testing at the Erath County Courthouse.
Testing is available Monday through Friday and appointments are required.
