Erath County’s COVID risk level remains ‘very high’ as number of new cases continues to decline.



The spread of COVID-19 in Erath County continues to show improvement, but the risk level remains “very high,” according to Covid ACTNOW.


The website, which tracks COVID-19 cases across the country, reported on Monday that there was an average of 12 new cases per day last week, down from 20 the week prior.

The number of local hospitalizations has also dropped to five with one patient in ICU.


“In Erath County, Texas, 18,284 people (42.8%) have received at least one dose, 15,966 (37.4%) have received at least two doses or a single Johnson & Johnson dose, and 5,465 (12.8%) have received a booster shot,” the website states.
