Early voting is over, but if you failed to cast a ballot in the city's election, you have another chance.
There are two contested races on the Stephenville ballot – one for city council and one for Stephenville ISD board of trustees.
Councilman Gerald Cook is facing a challenge from Jorge Moreno for place 2 on the Stephenville City Council.
And Jason Smith and Dr. Jill McAngus are vying to fill the unexpired term of place 4 on the Stephenville ISD board of trustees following the resignation of Doug Young.
Election Day is Saturday, May 2.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. at the new Erath County Annex, Dublin Annex, TexasBank in Stephenville and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Center.
Erath County voters can vote at any of those locations no matter where they reside.

Important reminder of how crucial these final days are—early voting really helps increase participation and gives people more flexibility before Election Day. Staying informed and taking action now can make a real difference. It’s a bit like space waves unblocked—small, timely moves that build into something much bigger.
