Eighteen Ninety Grille is the perfect place for date night. If you go, order the Texas trilogy.

The Texas trilogy

By SHAWN STONE

After hearing great things about Granbury’s Eighteen Ninety Grille and Lounge, we decided to give it a try.

The evening began with the Texas trilogy, an appetizer that includes free range chicken, quail wrapped in bacon and skewered beef tenderloin served with a variety of sauces.

It was so good that I was tempted to ask for another order, but we also had jalapeno bacon mac and cheese and main courses coming, so I stopped myself from getting too carried away.

For the main course I ordered a filet topped with crab meat with a side of mashed potatoes and fire roasted corn. The crab was perfect with the filet, and the mashed potatoes were great as well, but the roasted creamed corn was one of the best sides I've had in a long time.

Everything from start to finish was wonderful.

It's a really neat place right off the square in Granbury, and even has a little store off to the side you can buy different kinds of olive oils and seasonings.

Go early and enjoy a cocktail inside the restaurant’s downstairs bar. It’s got a cool vibe you will love.

If you haven’t enjoyed an evening at Eighteen Ninety Grille in Granbury, it’s time to change that.
