Dr. Doggett: ‘The recent surge in admissions and deaths are almost exclusively in the unvaccinated.’
Several of you have asked how many of those hospitalized locally with Covid-19 are vaccinated, so I asked Stephenville’s health authority Dr. Kelly Doggett.
This is what he told me.
“As of a week or two ago, Dr. (Marilyn) Brister told me that we had not had any vaccinated folks admitted to the hospital, but I think we may have had one vaccinated patient admitted since then. From what I heard there were other medical conditions that may have contributed to the admission. I was told that by a caregiver of that patient.
“I can tell you that Dr. Brister and hospital administration have told me that the recent surge in admissions and deaths are almost exclusively in the unvaccinated.
“We are seeing breakthroughs in vaccinated patients and those that have previously had Covid, but those cases seem to be milder. All of my patients that have been hospitalized have been unvaccinated.”
UPDATE
A couple of hours after publishing this story, I received a response from Dr. Ben Marcum:
"I have taken care of several patients with Covid in the hospital in the last few days," Marcum said."Many of them took Ivermectin and ended up admitted with respiratory failure anyway.
"The thing they didn’t take is the vaccine."
So there’s your answer.
Coming from the same person recommending ALL students in ALL schools mask up. Does ANYONE in erath actually go to this hospital? Last I remember most of the doors are locked shut and don't look like they have been opened in over a year... EVERYONE I know goes to either Grandbury or Comanche for healthcare needs... Maybe we should focus on getting better healthcare providers focused in treatments rather than political hot topics.
