If you are looking for a cozy, quick dinner, this recipe for broccoli cheddar beef bowls is for you.
It’s similar to hamburger helper, but with a healthy twist.

WHAT YOU NEED FOR BEEF MIXTURE
1 lb. ground beef
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp dried thyme
FOR THE SAUCE
2 tbsp butter
1 yellow onion
2 cloves garlic
2 ½ tbsp flour
1 ½ cups whole milk
½ cup chicken broth
1 tsp Dijon mustard
½ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups shredded cheddar
¼ cup parmesan cheese
4 cups broccoli
HOW TO MAKE IT
Brown beef with seasoning; drain and set aside.
Add butter, onions and garlic and cook down, then add flour to create a rue.
Add remaining ingredients to make a cheesy gravy.
Add chopped broccoli and let cook for 10 minutes or until broccoli is fork tender.
Add cheese and beef and stir together to warm through.
Serve with rice or by itself for a cheesy cozy dinner.
