Cleaning hacks: 4 ways to make your home spring-like fresh in just minutes.

 By Alexis Rochester

This wonderful warm spring-like weather makes it the perfect time to tackle some seasonal cleaning.

While I love deep cleaning this time of year, I have been short on time due to after-school activities and spending time outside with kids.

So I am focusing more on effective cleaning hacks.

Below are a few of my top tips to make your home look clean in just a few minutes!

 ELIMINATE CLUTTER

Before I do anything, I always pick up clutter on the counters and floors.

Clutter can make your area look dirty even when it’s not.

I spend a few minutes each morning and evening hanging up clothes, putting dirty clothes in the hamper and making sure all items on counters and tables are put away before tackling any cleaning.

USE A MICROFIBER CLOTH

There are dozens of uses for microfiber cloth around the home, but I really love it for quick countertop and baseboard cleaning.

Due to the texture and fibers in a microfiber cloth, you can use it damp or dry for different cleaning methods.

For counters, dampen one side of the cloth, wipe counters and dry with the other side.

Use a dry cloth to wipe away lingering dust on baseboards.

A QUICK VACUUM

When your carpets are freshly vacuumed, the house looks clean.

The best purchase I made a few years ago was this lightweight cordless vacuum cleaner.

I am able to grab it and vacuum all over the house in just a few minutes. It also has a hand wand attachment that allows me to quickly get into corners, under cabinets and on furniture.

It is my favorite quick cleaning tool.

MAKE YOUR HOME SMELL NICE

Having a fresh smelling home makes everything feel clean.

I absolutely love Grow Fragrance room sprays because they are non-toxic and 100% plant-based.

My favorite spring scents are wildflower rain and hibiscus tea. I spray them in the air, but it is also fantastic for fabrics.

If you find yourself short on time this spring, tackle these quick tips to make your home feel much cleaner.

And if you have never utilized microfiber before, definitely give it a try for faster

and more efficient cleaning.
