The Stephenville City Council has voted to resume utility disconnects after stalling it during the pandemic, but also approved a delinquent utility account assistance policy for residents behind on bills.
The program offers residents a chance to make installment payments on delinquent accounts and creates a one-time delinquent utility assistance grant up to $300.
Customers with a delinquent balance should call 254-918-1230 for more information.
The deadline for submitting a grant application is Dec. 31.
