Nothing says family-fun like the city of Stephenville’s annual Fourth of July celebration.

This year’s events will take place on Saturday, July 3, and begin with the traditional parade at 9 a.m.

The parade will begin at the south entrance of Stephenville City Park, turn north on Graham Street, then head west on Washington, ending at the corner of Harbin and Washington streets.

A barbecue cook-off sponsored by the Elks Lodge will begin at 10 a.m. at Century Park followed by a car show at the Saint-Gobain and Optimist Club parking lots at noon.

Make plans to stick around the park to enjoy food vendors, mini golf, a petting farm and train ride beginning at 2 p.m.

Lawnmower races will begin at 3 p.m.

Spend the evening listening to music by the Tejas Brothers at 7 p.m. followed by Larry Joe Taylor at 8:30 p.m.

An extravagant display of fireworks will light up the night sky around 10 p.m.

It’s going to be a day of fun! See you there!
