Burn, baby burn. Soaker prompts county officials to temporarily lift burn ban.

Following the much-needed drenching we just received, Erath County commissioners lifted the burn ban effective immediately on Wednesday.

But you better hurry. The order is set to expire at 9 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 5), at which time you will need to put away those matches.
