Everyone loves brunch these days. It’s the new power meal.
And this delicious recipe for lemon poppy seed bread will add an unexpected zest to your next gathering.
Just don’t forget the mimosas.
WHAT’S IN IT
3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/8 cups cooking oil
1 1/2 tablespoons poppy seed
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1 1/2 tsp. butter extract
HOW TO MAKE IT
Combine all ingredients into large bowl.
Beat minutes with mixer for two minutes, then spoon into prepared loaf pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
Cool on baking rack for 10 minutes before serving.
